Ballantynes Special Forces "Mission Ready", Bronze Statue

A military statue of a Special Forces Trooper with his kit preparing for departure on an Operation. We call this sculpture 'Mission Ready' as it depicts daily life in any one of the Special Forces Regiments. We include a wooden base and an engraved brass plate.

It is well understood by all that a modern Special Forces Trooper has to be a true master of a wide array of specialist skills. However, behind all the selection, training and skills the 'Clay' is still the man.
Each year we sculpt and make a new Special Forces Presentation Sculpture. In past years we have concentrated on the 'task'. We've sculpted men undertaking very specialist roles including Military Freefall, unleashing an Attack Dog, a Beach Recce and Counter-Terrorism.

This year we have decided to make a 'quiet' piece, a sculpture depicting departure, a common theme for all service elements. 'Mission Ready' depicts the moment a team member picks up his kit and begins the walk to awaiting transport. We hope the sculpture will 'chime' with all ex and serving members of the Special Forces, providing a sense of continuity from the past to the present.
