The Platatac HW Single Shingle is an ultra-lightweight, MOLLE compatible, durable open-top magazine panel that sits flat and securely carries a single AR/M4 polymer or metal 5.56 30 round magazine. The shingle attaches via four MOLLE straps which are part of the one-piece back that is laser cut with precision out of Multicam pattern Blueforce gear Ultracomp fabric. The front is another piece of laser-cut Ultracomp in a PALS grid to allow MOLLE compatible pouches to be attached to the front. It features offset slits in the centre to attach single row pouches such as the HW Pistol mag Pouch.
The HW single shingle keeps the mag stowed and held in with shock cord for greater security for the magazine. The sewn Ultracomp tabs can be placed at the corners of the magazines to ensure a fast and consistent draw reducing time on magazine changes.

Ultracomp® Fabric
Blue Force Gear's proprietary high-performance laminate, ULTRAcomp®, far exceeds the military standard air textured nylon in tear and abrasion resistance. Its hydrophobic features allow products to stay dry and light, whereas air textured nylon retains water and gets even heavier when wet. Blue Force Gear has attained the perfect blend of art and science to create a truly unique material - ULTRAcomp®. ULTRAcomp® combines the properties of a rubber-based laminate - resistance to tear, abrasion, water, bacteria and fungus - and added a Cordura® fabric facing for colour or pattern and reduced IR signature. This is a case where the sum is greater than its parts. The combined strength of the two materials becoming one allows us to push the limits on weight savings while exceeding established standards of strength and durability.
