Platatac LW Silks Jacket

The Platatac LW Silks smock is a lightweight and highly packable garment that offers outstanding wind and water resistance in a small package.

Designed with the fight light philosophy in mind, the newest iteration of the timeless classic para silk top used for years by UKSF is our full front zip shell that is designed to be either worn as a standalone jacket or thrown on over a uniform or other garments in case of unpredictable inclement weather.

Made from Multicam Epsilon fabric 40D x 40D ripstop nylon with NANO STX™ and DWR treatment, this is truly a featherweight, ultra-packable, windproof and water-resistant garment that is useful as an ultra-light shell over an insulating garment or base layer.

It is lightweight and small enough to stash in your gear in case some unexpected protection from the weather is required when a hard shell isn’t available and the mission is extended.

When rolled up into its own hood, it can fit easily into your combat pants cargo pocket, shirt sleeve or jacket pocket, as part of a survival/E&E kit, a GP or magazine pouch, or behind the armour plate in your carrier.

Warning: Multicam Epsilon is an extremely lightweight fabric and care must be taken to ensure longevity. The fabric's primarily function is to provide ultralight emergency protection in unexpected inclement weather environments.
