INFANTRYMAN AUSTRALIAN IMPERIAL FORCE GALLIPOLI APRIL 25 1915

This Naked Army figurine depicts an Australian Imperial Force (AIF) infantryman in the early hours of April 25, 1915. He is portrayed in full Pattern 1908 webbing equipment as he stands on the deck of a troopship awaiting his turn to be taken ashore at Anzac Cove.

His woolen uniform, Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) rifle with volley sights, and early P08 ‘marching order’ gear are all typical issue equipment distinctive to the early period of the war.
