Platatac SPUR Tropical Pack - Multicam Variant

I bought this after years of looking for a replacement for my ALICE pack, and to carry comms kit. this does what I need it to do perfectly.

One thing that is not mentioned is that the carbon fibre frame / poles can eaily be taken out. This means if you are going to shove it under the top flap of your Bergen, it will fit under really well, and not hang out the back looking like a Twigglet, an end up being a nause. if not carriing a full load, it can be pulled. The only changes I might make are firmer and slightly wider shoulder straps, and of the rear of the 4 external pouches, maybe stitch the bottom, and add a velco closure to the top so it can be used to put things in.

Firstly, i have a slightly older model of this pack but it is still great. As a cadet, this pack fits my needs very well, from the week long AFX to weekend camps, it fits all my needs and equipment i need for those. All in all a great pack, 4.5/5 stars.

Used this pack a lot, whether its on an overnight hike, when your going down to the caravan park or need to pack a lot of stuff, this is great! It fits everything and even tops my 75 Ltr rucksack even though its smaller and more chunky! Not sure in terms of field use, but as a civi its a great pack! Personally due to its width and size, the hip straps are not always needed and feel a bit overkill. But thats just personal. 9/10 Worth a look !

This pack is excellent! It is good for short use out in the field. It fits everything you need for a short period time, wether it is spare batteries, rations, water, field equipment such as rope, tape ect. Also your helmet, dry bags, cleaning equipment, just pretty much anything. Strong and made to last, also very versatile. 10/10 on this pack.
