AUSTRALIAN 1 SQN SASR - Sgt. BARNEY

Strictly limited to 10 only, Platypus Outdoors are proud to release from their vault the extremely rare, 1 SQN SASR SGT Barney Figurine, made in the early 2000s.

Officially formed in July of 1957 as the 1st Special Air Service Company, the unit was expanded in August of 1967 to full Regiment strength.

The SASR was first deployed in Brunei in 1965 and since that time been deployed in numerous theaters. Members are highly trained in all types of operations and the SASR has established an outstanding reputation as a special force unit. Most recent of the SASR deployments were in Afghanistan and Iraq in support of coalition forces.

Based on a "typical" SAS operator from the early 2000s, "SGT Barney" is dressed in actual kit from the era, including DPDU uniform, and PLATATAC Peacekeeper Mk2, in NOS DPM.

A perfect addition to the most astute collector's collection, these will never be produced again.
