Shipping policy
Domestic shipping (Australia)
Free shipping on Australian orders of A$200 and over. For orders under A$200, shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions and your delivery address.
We ship with trusted carriers including Australia Post and DHL, with full tracking on every order.

International shipping
We ship worldwide. Shipping rates are calculated in real time at checkout based on your destination, parcel weight and dimensions. All international orders include full tracking.
- Australia Post International Standard: 5–10 business days
- Australia Post International Express: 3–6 business days
- DHL Express: 1–5 business days
Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing, local carrier delays, public holidays or circumstances outside our control.
International prices, taxes & duties
We want international customers to know what their order will cost before it leaves Australia, without unexpected customs charges or carrier fees appearing on delivery.
For customers in the United Kingdom and European Union, our local product prices have been adjusted to account for applicable VAT, import duties and related import costs. An automatic Tax/Duty Offset is applied at checkout to help reduce the impact of these additional costs.
Platatac pays the applicable VAT, import duties and import fees on UK and EU orders. Once the Tax/Duty Offset has been applied, the only additional amount you pay at checkout is shipping. There is nothing further to pay when your order arrives.
Customers in New Zealand see product prices inclusive of New Zealand GST. Any other applicable import charges are handled in accordance with the shipping method and order value shown at checkout.
For other international destinations, the treatment of taxes, duties and import charges varies by country. Where applicable, these charges will either be collected at checkout or remain payable upon import, depending on the destination and shipping method selected.
Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)
Where an order is shipped Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), applicable import duties and taxes are paid before the order leaves Australia. This allows your parcel to clear customs without an unexpected tax invoice, customs payment request or carrier handling fee on delivery.
For United Kingdom and European Union orders, Platatac absorbs the applicable VAT, duties and import fees. Customers pay the product subtotal after any automatic Tax/Duty Offset plus the shipping charge shown at checkout.
For other DDP destinations, applicable duties and taxes may be charged to the customer at checkout as detailed below.

United States
All orders shipped to the United States attract applicable import duties and the current 12.5% tariff.
For orders valued up to US$2,500, both Australia Post International and DHL Express can collect duties, tariffs and taxes at checkout. Your order is shipped with these charges prepaid, with nothing further payable on delivery.
Orders valued above US$2,500 are shipped via DHL Express only.
Australia Post shipping with duties or taxes payable on delivery is not available for U.S. orders, as all applicable import charges must be paid in advance.
Canada
Canadian orders shipped via Australia Post or DHL Express are sent DDP. Applicable duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, with nothing further payable on delivery.
United Kingdom
Product prices for customers in the United Kingdom have been adjusted to account for applicable UK VAT, import duties and related import costs.
An automatic Tax/Duty Offset is applied at checkout to help reduce the impact of these additional costs. Platatac pays the applicable VAT, import duties and import fees on your behalf.
For orders below £135, customers may choose between eligible Australia Post International services and DHL Express. Orders above £135 are shipped via DHL Express only.
Once the Tax/Duty Offset has been applied, the only additional charge shown to you is shipping. Your order is shipped DDP, with nothing further to pay on delivery.
European Union
Product prices for customers in the European Union have been adjusted to account for applicable local VAT, import duties and related import costs.
An automatic Tax/Duty Offset is applied at checkout to help reduce the impact of these additional costs. Platatac pays the applicable VAT, import duties and import fees on your behalf.
For orders below €150, customers in most EU countries may choose between eligible Australia Post International services and DHL Express. Orders above €150 are shipped via DHL Express only.
Once the Tax/Duty Offset has been applied, the only additional charge shown to you is shipping. Your order is shipped DDP, with nothing further to pay on delivery.
DHL-only EU destinations
Some EU countries have introduced country-specific low-value import or customs handling fees that postal carriers cannot process as prepaid or DDP shipments. Orders to the following countries are therefore shipped via DHL Express only, regardless of order value:

- Denmark
- Portugal
- Netherlands
- Finland
- France
New Zealand
Product prices shown to customers in New Zealand are inclusive of New Zealand GST.
For orders below NZ$1,000, customers may choose between eligible Australia Post International services and DHL Express. Any applicable duties, taxes and shipping costs are shown at checkout.
Orders above NZ$1,000 are shipped via DHL Express only. Any applicable duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, with nothing further payable on delivery.
Rest of world
Available shipping methods and the treatment of duties and taxes vary by destination.
Where Australia Post shipping is available without prepaid import charges, any applicable duties, tariffs, taxes or customs fees remain the customer’s responsibility and may be collected by the destination country before delivery.
Choose DHL Express where available to have applicable duties and taxes calculated and paid at checkout.
Shipping to military addresses

We proudly support ADF personnel deployed overseas. Orders using the AFPO shipping option must be under 2kg and addressed to an AFPO address only, using the full format below:

Incorrect or incomplete addresses may delay shipping.
U.S. Military APO / FPO
We ship to U.S. Military APO/FPO addresses via Australia Post International only. DHL Express does not deliver to APO/FPO addresses.
Order processing & tracking
Orders are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number by email once your order has been picked, packed and prepared for dispatch. Please allow 24–36 hours for tracking events to begin appearing.
During peak periods such as EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day, please allow additional processing time. Express orders are prioritised from oldest to newest.
Missed deliveries & re-delivery
All orders require a signature or secure delivery. If no one is available, the carrier may leave instructions for collection or re-delivery.
Uncollected parcels may be returned to us. If an order must be resent because of an incorrect or incomplete address, unsuccessful delivery or failure to collect the parcel, additional shipping charges may apply.
Damaged, lost or missing orders
All parcels include tracking. If your parcel is marked as delivered but cannot be located:
- Check with household members, neighbours or building managers
- Check around the delivery location for a safe place where the parcel may have been left
- Contact the carrier directly using your tracking number
- If you still cannot locate it, contact us and we’ll escalate the matter with the carrier
Platatac is not liable for parcels lost or stolen after confirmed delivery, but we’ll do our best to help you locate the parcel or resolve the issue with the carrier.
