A-TACS iX (Intermediate Xtreme) was developed as a transitional camouflage pattern designed to bridge the gap between the original A-TACS AU (Arid/Urban) and FG (Foliage/Green) patterns. Engineered to perform across a wide range of environments, iX was purpose-built for operators needing concealment in mixed terrain—where woodland fades into open ground, and vegetation shifts between seasons.

Instead of relying on traditional, high-contrast shapes or repeating blotches, A-TACS iX features a digitally sampled, organic pattern with a flowing, naturalistic look. Micro- and macro-layering creates depth, breaks up the human silhouette, and allows the pattern to blend effectively at close and long range.
