The Platatac SMAC (Scalable Modular Armour Carrier) System is built around the feature-rich SMAC 4 Plate Carrier—a premium armour solution engineered for elite military and law enforcement operators who demand maximum modularity, comfort, and performance under pressure.

Constructed from lightweight, abrasion-resistant B52 laminate and integrated with Outlast® thermal-regulating material and Tegris® load-bearing components, the SMAC 4 delivers optimal weight distribution and temperature control. The system allows a high degree of customisation through multiple cummerbund and shoulder options, cable routing features, Velcro and MOLLE mounting fields, and compatibility with a range of Platatac and OEM gear.

The SMAC 4 Plate Carrier can be combined with components from our CRABS V2 Placard / Chest Rig System which offers nearly endless configurations, allowing multiple setups depending on mission requirements. The CRABS V2 system works seamlessly together with the ammo/EO & admin inserts suite.

The SMAC 4 System also features seamless integration with our range of ASAD velcro-in sub load pouches.
