Platatac Lightweight Field Pack NSN'd

Developed in response to an Australian Defence Force requirement, the Platatac Lightweight Field Pack is a versatile 31-litre pack designed to bridge the gap between a day pack and a larger patrol pack.

Based on our proven MSM pack design, the Lightweight Field Pack was developed to handle a broad range of roles — from day-to-day use around base and training courses to travel, vehicle-based work and medium patrol loads in the field.

At the heart of the design is a highly accessible main compartment that opens around the top and down both sides of the pack, making it considerably easier to organise, pack and access equipment than a conventional top-loading design. Internal storage provides additional organisation for hydration, communications equipment and other mission-essential items.

The pack is also designed from the outset as a modular platform. Extensive PALS webbing across the front and sides allows additional pouches and accessories to be added, removed or repositioned according to the task, while the internal frame and padded harness provide support when carrying heavier loads.

Built for hard field use, the Lightweight Field Pack uses 1000D CORDURA® nylon with proven YKK® zippers and MIL-SPEC ITW Nexus hardware throughout. The result is a tough, adaptable pack that can be kept relatively clean and simple for everyday use or configured into a more comprehensive load carriage system when required.

The Lightweight Field Pack is compatible with Platatac, issue and other MOLLE-compatible pouches, giving the user the flexibility to build the pack around their individual load rather than being locked into a fixed configuration.
