Platatac FS Boonie Hat (VTX)

The FS Boonie (VTX) is Platatac’s medium-brim width boonie hat, perfect for hot climates and keeping you cool during periods of high overhead sun. The medium crown and side (mesh) venting allow for great air circulation to cool the wearer down. The leather cinch on the paracord neck strap allows you to secure the hat under the chin or to the nape of the neck.

VTX is an interesting fabric and perfect for this boonie. While it has the traditional attributes of NYCO, being hard wearing, breathable and abrasion resistant for a long life, VTX also has a small amount of Spandex, not for the ladies’ aerobics class, but to make it more comfortable and compliant through its service-span.

Inside the hat you’ll find a band of high visual contrast ‘International Orange’ running inside the hat, to assist with marry-up, IFF and location marking where required.
