The Platatac Badger Windproof Field Smock is a modern interpretation of one of the most iconic military field garments ever produced—the British SAS Windproof Smock.
Developed in collaboration with serving Special Forces personnel from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, the Badger combines the proven utility of the original with modern materials, improved ergonomics and contemporary load carriage requirements.
Designed to perform as both a standalone field garment and a weather-resistant outer layer, the Badger offers generous storage capacity, excellent freedom of movement and reliable protection from wind and light rain. Its relaxed fit comfortably accommodates insulating layers or body armour beneath, while extensive ventilation and adjustable features allow it to adapt to changing conditions.
Constructed from Multicam Agility fabric with two-way stretch and a durable water-repellent finish, the Badger is built for long days in the field. Reinforced elbows, a helmet-compatible hood, thoughtful pocket placement and extensive internal storage make it equally suited to reconnaissance, patrolling, hunting and extended outdoor use.
