With six internal ground insulating foam panels, the Platatac Gonk Mat is a 3/4 length reversible sleeping mat that is designed to be a simplistic alternative to bulkier self inflating variants.
It can be folded and placed in an ALICE frame or rolled up and strapped to your pack with ease. Some have even been seen stitching the mat to the bottom of their packs for a quick roll up, strap and go setup.

For anyone wondering, this just fits between a NICE frame and attached bag (Platatac Jungle SR for me) when folded and pushed in horizontally from the bottom- compression straps hold it in.
I'm 184cm (regular length pants) and this supports from head to end of torso, perfect!
The mat is small and would be great for sitting on as a barrier from cold/wet ground. Excels as a changing mat for my child!

Takes up little space, keeps the groud from stealing your heat does the job works well.
