Description
The Platatac CRABS V2 MOLLE Base Panel provides a modular placard platform designed for users who require the flexibility of MOLLE-mounted pouches and mission equipment.
Built around the CRABS V2 architecture and developed in collaboration with Australian Special Operations personnel, the MOLLE Base Panel combines an internal Velcro insert system with an external PALS mounting field, allowing operators to configure both internal ammunition carriage and external equipment storage.
The internal loop Velcro compartment accepts Velcro-backed magazine inserts, allowing a range of ammunition configurations depending on the insert used. Supported setups include 3 x 5.56 M4 magazines (or AK magazines rounds-up), 2 x 7.62 magazines with a pistol magazine, or 4 x 9mm sub-gun magazines.
The front PALS/MOLLE panel allows users to mount compatible pouches and mission devices, including utility pouches, specialist equipment, ATAK mounts or MFF accessories, providing maximum flexibility for mission-specific setups.
The placard mounts directly to Platatac SMAC plate carriers and other placard-compatible armour carriers using the supplied ITW Nexus split-bar clips. It can also be configured as a stand-alone chest rig when paired with Platatac CHICOM harness systems.
Adjustable top tabs allow the panel to be positioned at the ideal ride height on the carrier or harness.
The CRABS V2 system is fully material certified and NSN’d for the carriage of ammunition and explosive ordnance.
