Platatac Individual Hoochie

The Platatac Individual Hoochie shelter (also called a basha, hutchie, hoochie, or tarp) is a lightweight, waterproof shelter made to the same specifications as the tried and tested design used by the ADF for over 70 years. 

First developed for military use in the early 20th century, hoochie tarps were used as portable solo-shelter or bivouac for soldiers in the field. Today, hoochie tarps are made with modern materials that are lightweight and packable while still being durable, making them a popular option for ultralight hikers, bush crafters, hunters, and survivalists.
