Silva 55-6400/360 MS Mils Compass Bundle

The Silva 55-6400/360 MS Mils Compass Bundle combines a precision military sighting compass with two Platatac protective covers, providing a complete navigation package for field use, artillery, target acquisition and command post applications.

Replacing the NSN-listed Silva 54/6400B, the Silva 55 features clearer, more distinct markings for faster reading in demanding conditions. Its combined optical sighting system and SILVA 1-2-3 SYSTEM baseplate allow accurate bearings to be taken while retaining the versatility required for conventional map navigation.

The sighting scale is graduated in both 6400 mils and 360 degrees, while the main graduation ring is marked in 6400 mils. Luminous markings and a luminous graduation ring support low-light navigation for up to four hours after activation by daylight or a flashlight.

The included flexible scale lanyard provides 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 map scales and can be laid directly along a route for quick distance measurement. A slope card is also supplied for assessing terrain gradient, route difficulty and avalanche risk.

To protect the compass in storage and transit, the bundle includes both a Platatac Compass Cover in Terra Firma Pattern and a Platatac Hard Compass Cover.
